Jimmy's Old Car Picnic

October 2007

We were taking a walk in the park in the middle of October and we ran into the tail end of a party. Nothing too fancy and not too many rules. It was Jimmys Old Car Picnic. Just a bunch of folks showing off their old cars. We didn't stay long, but a few of the cars caught our eye. A little more information at www.jimmyspicnic.com

1
A Cherry mosquito. Would look better in BRG I think.
2
One of two custom cars. I overheard someone say there are parts from at least twelve different vehicles in this one.
3
This one is mostly a highly modified fiberglass body on an XKE frame with Ford power.
4
Back when engines were serious pieces of machinery.
5
Can't contain that Jaguar, you can only slow him down.
6
Nice wire wheels and Susan contemplating her next shot.
7
The orange tinted mirrors were a little strange. And body was in two parts.
8
This one didn't have the "piano finish" of the red car. Yet.
9
Reminiscent of a Stealth Bomber.
10
Where'd he get those real wire wheels.
11
Speedway meadow late in the day. Many of the cars had already gone, but a little radio controlled dune buggy raced on.
12
Another wide shot and goodbye.
